Americaware started in the 1980s as the Feltman-Langer Company and was initially known as the originator of wide-based ceramic travel mugs. Our first signature product was a huge hit with travelers and daily commuters who wanted to bring their coffee on the road with less risk of messy spills. Shortly after our wide-based ceramic travel mugs debuted, we also launched a patented lid, making these mugs even more secure and easier to use. Our passion for coffee proved to be ahead of the curve, and our business continued to grow with the rise of gourmet coffee retailers in the 1990s.

In 1993, we officially adopted the name Americaware, Inc. As Americans’ love for quality coffee grew, we were right there with them, expanding our line to include designs for car cup holders and boats. Our travel mugs were already a hit for their functionality, but we soon started adding new styles, shapes and colors to give Americaware products a signature look and feel. Two years later, we had expanded into a wider range of ceramic products including casual dinnerware and serve ware with hand-painted designs from renowned artist Ann Mallory.

By the late 1990s, we started to bring our passion for travel into the Americaware product line. It was in this era that we introduced our first location-specific mugs, offering original designs with artwork specific to states, cities and destinations across the country. They became an instant favorite with souvenir shoppers, and the majority of our products were sold through major coffee and houseware retailers. In 2004, we expanded our distribution to smaller retailers with a wholesale program allowing smaller minimum orders and an in-stock service program with fast shipping anywhere within the United States. This program opened Americaware’s distinctive product line to a new class of boutique retailers without the need for burdensome order quantities or extended lead times.

With an expanded reach and continued commitment to signature designs and high-quality products, Americaware quickly grew into one of the nation’s leading producers of souvenir goods. By 2006, our souvenir mugs had outgrown all other products in our line and become the company’s primary focus. We quickly expanded our location-specific lineup beyond ceramic mugs to promotional items and specialty products.

Today, ceramic mugs are still at the heart of the Americaware product line, but we’ve grown to include a full range of distinctive souvenirs. Some of our fun, unique products include shot glasses, plush animals, copper mugs, leather can coolers, ceramic shots, canvas zip pouches, neoprene coin purses and tote bags. We also provided a line of dog breed-specific ceramic pet mugs, including a cats rule and horse mug. With over 25 years of experience, our product line continues to grow along with our passion for traveling and building lasting memories.
